"This variety is the most commonly commercially produced olive in California. Ninety-five percent of all California production of this variety is for the black ripe 'table olive'. Even we sell some of our excess production to the 'big' canneries. Our groves are unique in that we harvest this variety several times from September through January as the fruit ripens."
